Originally from South Africa, Nelia qualified as a doctor from Stellenbosch University in 2004. She lived in Aberdeen, Scotland from 2007 – 2019 during which time she mainly worked in General Practice. Having completed her GP training and Fellowship she became the lead GP for Minor Surgery in her practice.

In 2019 Nelia and her family moved to Taranaki. She continued to work part-time in General Practice and joined Skin Clinic Taranaki in 2021.

Nelia is passionate about the early detection of skin cancers and providing surgical and non-surgical treatment options. 

When she is not working, Nelia spends her time with her husband, teenage boys, and dogs.

Dr Rob Pascoe

Rob graduated from The University of Leicester (UK) in 2005, going on to work in both clinical and teaching roles in the city.

He then took up a post in Waikato Hospital in 2007 and enjoyed a range of specialties before moving to Taranaki to commence general practice in 2009.

Since that time Rob has indulged his passion for skin cancer medicine, training with various specialists and obtaining further post graduate qualifications before arriving at Skin Clinic Taranaki to work alongside the outstanding team in 2019. Rob is an affiliated Southern Cross provider.

Rob currently shares his clinical time between General Practice and Skin Cancer Medicine.

Rob enjoys commuting by bicycle, running, and spending time with his family – cycling, tramping or in Puke Ariki.

The Skin Clinic Taranaki (SCT) team are delighted to welcome on board Mr Glenn Farrant. Mr Farrant is a General Surgeon with subspecialty training in skin surgery and dermoscopy, 

Mr Farrant performs routine and advanced skin surgery under local anaesthetic, at SCT without the inconvenience of being admitted to hospital for the day. 

If you do need a general anaesthetic, Mr Farrant also operates weekly at Southern Cross Hospital – New Plymouth, where he also undertakes endoscopy, and general surgery including gallbladder removal and hernia repairs. 

Mr Farrants’ skin services can be accessed through insurance companies or be privately funded. 

Private referrals, including self-referrals, are made directly to his private rooms by email, telephone at 06-769-9525 or 021 585 432, or via Skin Clinic Taranaki.

We are privileged to have an in-house secondary care provider to help remove skin cancers and other lesions quickly and with expertise. Our friendly, caring, and trusted team of doctors and nurses look forward to welcoming you.

Kim has been working at Skin Clinic Taranaki since it’s opening in November 2017. She comes from a practice nursing background with experience in minor surgery, skin conditions and wound care management.

Enjoys working at Skin Clinic Taranaki. She is very patient focused and ensures the patients receive the best of care; including education around having regular skin checks, adequate sun protection and early detection of skin cancer.

She enjoys trips away in the camper van with hubby, loves the outdoors (with plenty of sun protection… of course!) and spending time with family and friends.

With a practice nursing background, I am a nurse who has been working in the skin cancer field for 16 years, initially at Carefirst and in recent years at Skin Clinic Taranaki where I work as a dermoscopist in the molemapping clinic. I am passionate about providing excellent service to our clients/patients in the early detection and management of skin cancer and empowering patients with education regarding skin checks and sun safety. I enjoy working as part of a like-minded team at our busy clinic.
I am the proud mum of 3 adult daughters and outside of work I enjoy keeping fit, yoga, spending time with family and friends and exploring the outdoors.
